Researcher, educator, and project manager with expertise in community engagement, qualitative research, curriculum development and program design.
I bring experience across higher education, nonprofit, and community settings — advising students, leading research projects, building institutional partnerships, and designing programs that connect research to real world impact. I have managed grants, led teams, organized large-scale events, and contributed to scholarly publications and public-facing reports. I currently work in the Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships at Harvard University where I advise students, assist with program administration, and recently helped to launch a new leadership program on research for social impact. I am also Sociology Faculty in the Boston College Prison Education Program. I received an MA in Theories of Urban Practice from The New School and a PhD in Sociology from Boston College.
I'm a qualitative researcher, writer, and storyteller with more than 10 years of experience. I have used research processes to understand the needs of people and stakeholders most impacted by decisions, develop actionable insights from data, collaborate to learn from already existing expertise of communities, and understand the key strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for organizations at pivotal moments.
Google Scholar ↗I have more than 15 years of experience turning theory, research, and data into presentations, courses, and workshops that engage a wide range of audiences. I've worked with professionals and adult learners, K-12 students, and graduate and undergraduate students.
