Researcher, educator, and project manager with expertise in community engagement, qualitative research, and curriculum and program design.
I bring experience across higher education, nonprofit, and community settings — advising students, leading research projects, building institutional partnerships, and designing programs that connect academic work to real-world impact. I have managed grants, led teams, organized large-scale events, and contributed to scholarly publications and public-facing reports. I am currently Assistant Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships at Harvard University and Sociology Faculty in the Boston College Prison Education Program. I received an MA in Theories of Urban Practice from The New School and a PhD in Sociology from Boston College.
I'm a qualitative researcher, writer, and storyteller with more than 10 years of experience-- using research processes to understand the needs of people and stakeholders most impacted by decisions, develop actionable insights from data, collaborate to learn from already existing expertise of communities, and understand the key strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for organizations at pivotal moments.
Google Scholar ↗I have more than 15 years of experience turning theory, research, and data into presentations, courses, and workshops that engage a wide range of audiences-- from professionals in the public and private sectors to adult learners, K-12 students, and college graduate and undergraduate students.
